Extra-Curricular Activities
Being able to offer our children a wide range of diverse extra curricular activities is very important as it encourages them to become independent, confident and successful members of the community.
After-school clubs at Wimbledon Park Primary are committed to providing an inclusive, safe, and stimulating environment where all children have access to a range of extra-curricular opportunity.
We will try to ensure equitable access to extracurricular activities by making reasonable adjustments to enable all children to participate in clubs (but recognising that the resources available to extra-curricular club providers to enable inclusion are more limited that within the main school day). Safety, enrichment and enjoyment for all children is the objective for each of the extra-curricular clubs at the school.
When you sign up for a club, please let us know if your child may need any additional support or adjustments to help them take part safely and comfortably , including support related to SEND. A discussion will then take place between you and the club provider to consider individual needs and what reasonable adjustments can be provided before a place is confirmed. The club provider will then make the final decision about participation, with your child’s safety, wellbeing, and positive experience as the priority.
The senior leadership team and governors monitors and evaluates our club provision to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our school community. Please contact the school office for any additional information regarding our extra-curricular activities on offer.
